The risk trees represent is extremely low; however, tree owners and managers have a duty of care to take reasonable measures to avoid foreseeable injury or harm caused by their trees. We use a balanced and proportionate approach as recommended by The National Tree Safety Group, which recognises the wide variety of benefits trees provide to society. We have the experience and knowledge to ensure recommendations given are reasonable and practicable.

Visual Tree Assessment (VTA) is used to assess a tree for signs of structural defects or biological affects which may impact on the safety or longevity of the tree. Following an initial VTA survey, particular high value trees may be identified which need a more detailed inspection, e.g. a climbing inspection or the use of decay detection equipment, before a recommendation can be made on their management.
